    Raj Green Sandstone is undoubtedly one of the UK’s most popular Indian sandstone options and it’s easy to see why. This sandstone slab choice has the benefit of naturally occurring colours that seem to gently blend together, helping to create an almost traditional look and feel, perfect for patio paths and driveways. Due to this stone occurring naturally, there will always be some variation between one batch of Raj Green paving to the next but this can add to the overall design of the patio which adds elements of colour depth. The hand-cut riven finish of these slabs means the appearance leans into a more natural look while also providing the added bonus of grip when hit with adverse British weather conditions.

    What Colour is Raj Green?

    While the name does suggest that the colour is in fact green, this is not actually the case. You will find a combination of subtle greens, browns and grey which helps to create the traditional look and feel of this paving slab option. Slight colour variations do need to be considered as Raj Green is a natural stone.

Riven Finish Paving

Riven paving has a uniquely rough effect which is formed when the paving is cut away from the main stone. This texture gives the paving a wonderfully natural feel that helps to give your garden patio charm & character and the very nature of riven stone paving creates a rare blend of colours due to the slight shade variations between each paving slab stone. Riven stone is a stunning choice for anyone one looking for paving that can hold its own against the outdoor elements. Being a natural stone means our riven slabs are available in a wide variety of styles and colours such as our colourful autumn blend riven sandstone, the multi-tones Sagar black and our summer feeling Modak sandstone option. With so much choice available, it's easy to give your patio the look you want.

If you are unsure which riven paving stone would look best in your garden, we have samples available for every riven stone we offer. Simply order any sample that you would like to try and if you find yourself loving it, contact us when you are placing a full pallet order and we will happily refund the difference of the sample from your full pallet order cost. Our riven slabs are very strong but if you want to keep them looking newer for longer, you will also find a whole host of extras available such as patio sealers, affordable primers and natural stone cleaners, giving your brand new patio the care and maintenance it deserves.
