If you have ever splashed out on a beautiful new garden, complete with grass and wall cladding, then you know that keeping your new dream vision looking as new as possible for as long as possible is a big concern, unfortunately, this can seem like quite a big task, especially if you have frequent visitors, young children that love to explore or any furry friends. Having some paving that is stain resistant must be at the forefront when looking at paving options.
What are the options?
There are 2 options when looking at paving that has stain resistance while there is only one option that is able to naturally resist staining -
Option 1 - Natural stone with sealants - Natural stone does not offer stain resistance but some natural stones resist liquids better than others but ultimately, staining will always occur. To help prevent this, sealant can be used which creates a protective layer around the slab, however, this is not permanent and will need topping up periodically.
Option 2 - Porcelain Paving - This paving option is manmade and vitrified. This means that porcelain paving does not absorb liquids and provides a natural stain resistance. Another thing to note is, all Porcelain Paving from Paving Stones Direct has an R11 SLIP RESISTANCE rating which makes these slabs suitable for dedicated wet-rooms if you were so inclined.
